Monday Runner's Boot Camp: These classes offer the most beneficial exercises for runners taken from a variety of other disciplines such as Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Karate, Plyometrics, and Boot Camp and all rolled into one all star workout. They will be held on Monday evenings from July 14 to September 22. For more details, view the 2008 Boot Camp Flyer.

Tuesday Speed Sessions: These are a variety of workouts designed to improve your stamina, strength on hills, and make your half marathon or marathon pace feel more relaxed. They will be held on Tuesday evenings from July 8 to October 7. For more details view the Tuesday Speed Session Flyer.

Thursday Track Workouts: These are traditional track workouts designed to improve your lung power and leg turnover for increased speed at all distances. They will be held on Thursday evenings from July 17 to September 25. For more details view the Thursday Track Workouts Flyer.

CLASSES
*These 3 excellent cross training classes are organized exclusively for Runner's Edge participants (although non-participants are welcome as well) and are an effective way to work on overall fitness and weight management in ways that running cannot.

Sunday Spinning Class: Led by instructor and 11:40 pace group leader, Lisa Fleming, this weekly 1 hour class is held at 4pm at 68's Inside Sports (11301 W. 88th , OP, KS 66214). Class fee is $5.00. Please arrive in the lobby by 3:45pm. For more information, contact Lisa at mlfle@aol.com

Monday and Thursday Yoga Classes: Jiva Yoga Studio (6900 W. 80th, OP, KS 66204) offers Yoga for Runners Mondays at 7:30pm and Thursdays at 6pm. One hour yoga workouts are tailored to the runner's needs and will focus on core and upper body strength with deep stretches for muscles in the hips and legs. Add a new dimension to your training and join Jiva Yoga Studio sessions for $8.50 a class if prepaid monthly or $12.00 drop in rate. Thursday Cross Training Class: Through a variety of cardio, core, and strengthening equipment, instructor and owner Kenny Hensen, keeps your heart rate up while providing a complete body workout. This class is held 7-8pm on Thursdays at his Cross Training Club (11818 Quivira Rd., OP, KS 66210). He provides 8 week classes for $85 and just started his latest session March 27.
